Stuff going on…

20 10 2008

Things have been going pretty well as of late. It’s two weeks away from my elopement, so that’s been on my mind a lot lately. I heard from the editor of Feminist Review and she gave me some work to do on my music review before publication. I am officially a staff member of Geeks of Doom as a contributing writer. I’ll have three reviews to work on this month and one to work on, so far, in November.  I’m keeping November light because I’ll be dedicating a lot of my time to an article about birth certificates for stillborn babies. As far as my photographin endevors I am the new owner of the Hippie Group on deviantArt.com showcasing artwork that reflects the hippie philosophy. I’m looking forward to taking it over and I’m hoping to make it a success. Wish me luck.

Rape is one of the most tramatic/devistating experiences that a woman can go through. This unnamed artist, a survivor of rape, has taken it upon herself to get her message

A woman was raped by a stranger on this block. Please protect your friends, lover, sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, niece, cousin, neighbor, the woman you hear call for help late one night. 1 in 6 women in this country have been victims of rape or attempted rape. This needs to stop happening.

Greetings from Denver!

3 10 2008

There’s so much going on right now that it’s difficult to wrap my head around it. Let’s see… My fiancee and I moved from Des Moines, IA to Denver, CO. It was one of the most stressful moves and I’m glad it’s over. I just returned to my creative endevors. Right now I’m working on two music reviews for Feminist Review and I have uploaded new photos to my deviantART site. You can take a look at them HERE. That’s a little of it. More to come later, but, for now, back to work!
